What toys were popular during the Stanhope Schoolhouse era and beyond? It doesn't take batteries, video games or electronic wizardry to have fun. Come learn and play with some of the toys which were popular from 50 - 200 years ago.
Presented by renowned historian and collector Pat McKinney aka Porcupine Pat.
From Fleece to Fiber

Have you ever wondered how clothes were made before stores? Come learn how a sheep's fleece made its way into cloth, in the past. Help brush fleece to prepare it for spinning. Try some spinning on a drop spindle then weave on a simple loom.

Blacksmiths - Historical and Modern

Presented by John Bangor - Artist-Blacksmith from Bucks County and a member of ABANA, PABA, and the PA Guild of Craftsmen
If the weather cooperates, he is planning to do a "hot" blacksmithing demonstration outdoors. Attendees should bring a chair or be prepared to stand for the one-hour program (1:30 - 2:30).
In case of inclement weather, a "cold" blacksmithing demonstration will be held inside the schoolhouse.
In addition to the demonstration, he will discuss the history of blacksmithing and how the blacksmith is relevant both historically and in a modern world
